Voters in the Village of Pelham can watch their trustee candidates respond to prepared inquiries during a virtual event beginning at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28. The League of Women Voters of Westchester (LWVW) is hosting the session on Zoom, and the public can access the webinar by registering through a specific link provided in the organization's announcement. This format allows residents to hear directly from the candidates without being physically present.

The forum operates under a nonpartisan structure designed to treat all candidates equally. LWVW describes its approach as a vehicle for the public to gather information, ensuring the event neither promotes nor advances any single individual. The organization aims to create a respectful environment that encourages civil discourse while covering a wide range of topics relevant to the trustee position.

Moderators trained by the League and based outside of Pelham will conduct the session. These neutral parties will pose all questions and enforce the guidelines that the candidates have agreed to follow. The specific questions will be finalized in advance but will remain hidden from the candidates and their staff members until the forum begins. This process aims to avoid repetition and ensure the discussion addresses distinct areas of the office's responsibilities.

The League encourages Westchester residents to use the Vote411.org website for additional election details. The tool provides information on voter registration status, polling locations, ballot contents, and candidate responses to other questions. For the upcoming election, registered voters can cast their ballots on Tuesday, November 3, or during the early voting period running from October 24 to November 1, 2026.

The Pelham Examiner published the event details as a service to the community. The information comes directly from a press release issued by the League of Women Voters, which outlines the logistics and rules for the upcoming candidate forum.
