Samsung Japan has published a specific timeline for the One UI 9 software update, placing 40 Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the queue for delivery during October and November 2026. This schedule provides a concrete reference point for when owners of these specific models can expect the Android 17-based interface to appear on their devices.
The list includes the current generation of flagship hardware, such as the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. It also extends to previous flagships, covering the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra, and the Galaxy S24 FE. The Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra are also included in this initial wave.
Foldable devices form a large portion of the eligible hardware. The schedule covers the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, along with the previous generation Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Older foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, are also slated for the update within this two-month window.
Mid-range phones and tablets make up the remainder of the list. Eligible mid-range phones include the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25. The tablet section is extensive, listing the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, the Tab S10 series, the Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+, the Tab S10 Lite, the Tab S9 series, and the Tab S9 FE and S9 FE+. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G, and Tab Active 5 Pro complete the roster.
The timing provided by Samsung Japan applies strictly to that region. However, the set of eligible devices is expected to carry over to other markets. The company has indicated that the global rollout will continue beyond November, with many entry-level devices likely to receive the software in December and January.
The list is not exhaustive. It omits several obvious candidates, including the "Plus" versions of recent Galaxy S flagships, many Galaxy A models, and devices sold exclusively in other regions. One UI 9 first debuted on the Galaxy S26 series in September before moving to select previous-generation devices.
