The Sleepy Hollow Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce has set the date for the rescheduled Sleepy Hollow Street Fair for Sunday, November 8. The change follows rainouts in October that disrupted the original plans for the annual gathering on Beekman Avenue.

The fair, which typically draws thousands of visitors to the Hudson River Valley village, was originally scheduled for an earlier date this year. Persistent rainfall made the initial weekend unsuitable for the outdoor event. Organizers decided to postpone the gathering rather than cancel it entirely. This decision allows local merchants and attendees another opportunity to participate in the seasonal celebration.

Lucia Ballas-Traynor, the executive director of the chamber, emphasized the importance of the tradition for the local community. She noted that the event brings out the best of the village regardless of whether residents are long-time locals or first-time visitors. The chamber is thrilled to welcome everyone to celebrate the unique spirit of Sleepy Hollow during this extended spooky season.

On November 8, Beekman Avenue will close to automobile traffic from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pedestrian-only zone will host 145 arts and crafts, food, and beverage vendors. Local eateries and businesses will also participate by opening their doors and setting up tables outside their stores. The event is free to attend, and dogs are permitted on the street.

Entertainment is scheduled throughout the day, featuring specific performances at designated locations. Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk will perform at noon in front of Ganso Ramen. The Headless Horseman is expected to appear in the same area from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Witches Along the Hudson will perform twice, at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., on Beekman Avenue and Pocantico Street. Luis Enrique’s Andean Flutes Band will play in the Beekman Lot at the top of Beekman and Route 9. A Kids’ Zone will operate in the Beekman Parking Lot.

Live music will be presented by the BUMP at the Beekman Parking Lot Entrance. The lineup includes Scoot and Marlena of The Kulprits from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by Brad & Nate of The Incumbents Acoustic from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. The BUMP will perform from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Altogether is scheduled from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., and Polish John will close the music schedule from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The village will open the East Parcel Parking Lot at 60 Continental St. for the event. However, parking is scarce, so organizers encourage visitors to use the Metro-North train. The Tarrytown and Philipse Manor stations are located less than a mile from Beekman Avenue. Drivers are advised to park and board trains in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Croton Harmon, or Hastings-on-Hudson to reach the fair.
