Anker's Soundcore brand has cut the price of its Space 2 noise-canceling headphones to $106.49. The discount of $23 off the list price is active across Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart as of October 23. The offer applies to all three available color options for the device.

The Space 2 launched as a successor to the Space One, which The Verge's John Higgins identified as a top budget option in 2023. While the new model improves on the original, it carries a list price that is $30 higher than its predecessor. The current promotional rate narrows that gap for consumers.

Anker attributes the price point to specific hardware upgrades over the first generation. The Space 2 features enhanced active noise cancellation designed to suppress low-frequency sounds from sources like trains and airplane engines. The company also implemented design changes that The Verge says result in more accurate sound reproduction compared to the original.

Several value-driven features from the Space One remain in the newer model. The headphones support high-resolution LDAC audio and integrate with HearID 3.0. This software personalizes the audio output by analyzing a user's response to a series of test samples and adjusting the sound profile accordingly.

Battery performance has increased as well. With noise cancellation enabled, the Space 2 runs for up to 50 hours, an increase from the 40 hours offered by the previous model. With the feature disabled, the runtime extends to 70 hours, compared to 55 hours on the earlier version. A 3.5mm jack allows for wired use, and the device automatically pauses playback when removed from the head.

The Verge calls the Space 2 an easy recommendation due to the stronger noise cancellation and improved audio quality. At the current discounted price, the unit costs less than at any prior point in its lifecycle, despite being $30 above the original launch price of the Space One.
