Newegg reduced the price of the ABS Stratos II Ruby pre-built gaming PC by $450 on October 23, 2026.

The system now costs $2,549.99, down from its previous list price. This configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, and 32GB of DDR5 memory. Because ABS is Newegg's private label, the retailer stocks these units extensively. Tom's Hardware identified this specific model as the least expensive RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC currently available on the site. The outlet anticipates that the discounted stock will sell out rapidly.

The heart of the system is the eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D chip. It utilizes AMD's 3D V-Cache technology to expand the L3 cache to 96MB. A larger cache reduces the frequency with which the processor accesses slower system memory, which lowers latency and stabilizes frame rates. While the chip no longer holds the top spot in Tom's Hardware's CPU benchmarks, it remains very close to the leader. The report notes that no Intel processor matches the gaming performance of an X3D part.

The RTX 5070 Ti is a current-generation Nvidia Blackwell card equipped with 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. It targets mid- to high-tier performance for 1440p and 4K gaming. The card supports Nvidia's latest features, including DLSS with multi-frame generation. Tom's Hardware states that the card can handle 4K gaming with ray tracing in current titles, provided users employ multi-frame generation. Players should expect to use top graphics presets, though they may need to adjust settings in the most demanding 4K games. The 16GB of video memory offers more headroom than the 8GB found on the lower-end RTX 5060 and RTX 5050.

The system's remaining specifications include two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB memory modules running at 6,000 MT/s. Storage is handled by a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds. Tom's Hardware noted that this storage capacity allows for several large game installations. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet. A Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler manages the processor's thermal output.

Tom's Hardware described the $2,549.99 price as strong for the current market. The assessment cited the $450 discount and the specific combination of the 9800X3D and RTX 5070 Ti.
