Cedric Coward finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds to guide the Memphis Grizzlies past the Utah Jazz 110-105 on Monday night in Salt Lake City. The result marks the second Memphis victory against Utah in the last four meetings between the clubs.

The Jazz entered the game with a major personnel issue. Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. both suffered injuries during the early stages of the first half and did not return to the floor. Utah played the majority of the contest without two of its three leading scorers.

Memphis built a 16-point lead late in the third quarter. Quinten Post, Cam Spencer, and Coward each hit three-point shots on three consecutive possessions to push the margin to 87-71. Ty Jerome, who led the NBA in scoring before the game, recorded 15 points on 4-of-15 shooting and added eight assists. Jaylen Wells contributed 14 points, while Cameron Boozer and Jerami Grant scored 13 points each.

Utah fought back in the fourth quarter with a 15-3 run. Keyonte George, who led the Jazz with 26 points, hit a three-point play with 3:37 remaining to make the score 102-101. Ace Bailey had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Darryn Peterson added 14 points. Mo Bamba recorded 14 points and seven rebounds in his season debut.

The Grizzlies maintained a one-point lead for the final minute. Jerome made free throws to hold off Utah, which had drawn within one point on a Bamba dunk with 1:01 left. The Grizzlies travel to Portland on Thursday, while the Jazz host San Antonio on Wednesday.
