The Pelham Public Library has published its schedule for November, listing more than two dozen programs for adults and children. The month's calendar features a mix of craft workshops, educational classes, and book discussions, with several events requiring registration due to limited space.

Adult programming begins with a series of Tuesday afternoon crochet sessions. Participants aged 13 and older can join a drop-in group to work on amigurumi, a Japanese term for crocheted stuffed toys. This month's project is a Thanksgiving turkey drumstick. The library supplies yarn, hooks, and stitch markers, but attendees must possess basic crochet skills.

On Saturday, November 7, instructor Sam Eskander will lead a six-hour defensive driving course. The class runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch break and two five-minute breaks. Participants pay $35 in cash. Completion of the course qualifies drivers for an insurance discount and a point reduction on their licenses.

A fall seed saving workshop with EcoPel is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The session covers how to harvest, dry, and store seeds from vegetables, herbs, and native flowers. Registration is required as supplies are limited. Participants will help stock the library's seed library for next season.

On Monday, November 16, the library hosts a kefir making workshop from 7 to 8 p.m. The hands-on session explores fermentation traditions across Eurasia. Participants take home a kefir starter. Registration is required for this in-person event.

The library will host Chloe Melas and Judy Batalion on Tuesday, November 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event, titled The Girl's Guide to Guts, features a comedy set by One Funny Lisa Marie followed by a discussion of their new book. The event is for adults 21 and over. Books will be available for sale and signing.

Other adult events include a polymer clay vase workshop on November 23 and a virtual presentation from the New-York Historical Society on December 1. The virtual session, titled First Jewish Americans, traces the journey of Jewish settlers from Europe and the Caribbean to New Amsterdam in 1654. It will be held on Zoom from 7 to 8 p.m.

Children's programs include a tree painting craft on November 6 and a concrete poetry session on November 20. A canine story time program runs on Thursdays, where children aged six and up read to Freckle, a dog from The Good Dog Foundation. STEM story times are led by Pelham High School senior Aanika Roy on November 14 and 28.

The library will be closed on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27, for Thanksgiving. It reopens on Saturday, November 28, at 10 a.m. An annual pie poll runs from November 13 to November 28, allowing visitors to vote for their favorite pie.
