Anya Wallach, founder of the Westchester-based non-profit Random Farms Kids’ Theater, is teaming with Broadway Workshop to host a free audition process for young performers. The annual Industry Showcase Night will place participants in front of top agents, managers, and casting directors in New York City.

Auditions are scheduled for November 7 at Ripley Grier on 520 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan and November 8 at the Random Farms studio at 1 Zeiss Drive in Thornwood. The program accepts applicants between the ages of 5 and 18. There is no cost to enter or participate in the subsequent showcase events.

Candidates must prepare one minute of material, which can be a song, a monologue, or a mix of both. Organizers note that industry professionals seek raw talent and personality rather than polished technique. Participants may also submit a joke, an improvised commercial, or a story.

Selected performers will rehearse on November 22. The dress rehearsal and final performance will occur on November 30 at Theater 555 in New York City. Wallach will direct alongside James Scarola, Executive Director of Broadway Workshop, and Cameron Anika Hill, a former participant in the program who has appeared in Broadway productions of Elf and Dear Evan Hansen.

Past participants in the Industry Showcase Night include Gianna Harris, who starred in & Juliet and Hell’s Kitchen, and Ashley Lalonde, who performed in Dirty Dancing and the national tour of Hamilton. Other alumni include Reece Boyle, Harrison Fox, Jeremy Rosenfeld, Gabrielle Uhl, Rachel Resheff, Larry Saperstein, and Remi Tuckman.

Applications and further details are available through RandomFarmsNY.org/Showcase or BroadwayWorkshop.com.
