DraftKings released its 2027 World Series odds on Wednesday, placing the Los Angeles Dodgers at +310. The Milwaukee Brewers follow as the second most favored team at +500. These lines reflect current betting sentiment ahead of the upcoming season.

The Brewers secured the 2026 World Series title by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1. This victory sets up a specific question for the 2027 season: can Milwaukee achieve back-to-back championships? The Dodgers previously held this distinction, winning titles in 2024 and 2025. They became the first team to repeat since the New York Yankees won three consecutive titles from 1998 to 2000.

Betting odds are influenced by the volume of wagers placed on a team rather than serving as a pure statistical prediction. Popular clubs often attract more money, a phenomenon the source describes as a tax effect. This dynamic typically favors high-profile teams like the Dodgers and the New York Yankees, regardless of their current roster strength compared to less popular clubs.

The New York Yankees rank third in the odds at +700. The Boston Red Sox sit at +1100, followed by the Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies, both listed at +1800. A cluster of teams, including the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Cleveland Guardians, Chicago Cubs, and Atlanta Braves, all share odds of +2500 or +2200 depending on the specific listing.

At the bottom of the board, the Colorado Rockies carry the longest odds at +50000. The Los Angeles Angels and San Francisco Giants sit at +20000, while the Cincinnati Reds are listed at +15000. The Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals are priced at +9000. These figures represent the payout structure for bettors as of October 29.

The 2027 season will occur under a new collective bargaining agreement. While the rules of play may be altered by this new deal, the league is expected to hold a standard season. The betting market has already positioned the Dodgers as the top contender for the next title.
